Update to Stardraw Design 7.4

Software provider, Stardraw.com, announces that an important update to Stardraw Design 7.4 was published on July 31st. This update focusses on addressing Error Reports - which are reports of exceptions experienced by users in the field - caused by data, user workflows and actions, or system events and behaviors that are hard to predict or test for in-house, as well as some bug fixes, behavioral improvements and new features, including:

  • Remote License Release - If all your licenses are in use when you run Stardraw Design 7.4 you now have the option to remotely release one directly, without having to contact Stardraw Technical Support.
  • Export Cable Schedule - Now exactly replicates SD7.3, including User Defined Attributes whose names start with the underscore (_) character.
  • Rename Drawing - Prevents the display of the Rename Drawing dialog if you doubleclick on the [<] or [>] buttons in the drawing tab scrollbar.
  • Feather cells - In the Cables View, behaviors relating to cells holding Feather data are improved.
  • Product Attributes Spreadsheet - now supports Excel formulae that include external references.
  • SVG Export - improvements to support non-printable characters and Bézier Curves with non-curved segments.
  • Multiple enhancements - More than a dozen improvements based on Error Reports received, ranging from handling network glitches, to edge-case data scenarios, to problems caused by external factors e.g. the absence of, or problems with, third party processes and applications.
  • See the full changelog here.

Users already running SD7.4 should be sure to Install Updates when they see the notice on startup that Software Updates are Available.
